This was my second Rogue Expedition trip and won’t be my last! Last year was an unbelievable experience and this year was another exceptional experience. First, our guides are THE best…kind, thoughtful, encouraging, experienced, detailed and amazing! They have the best trails picked out that have amazing views, some technical areas but never make anyone feel like they can’t complete the run. They’re also realistic if someone has a day where the running may not be in the cards and needs to go slower or fewer miles. The food-the best I’ve ever had! They have planned out some of the most delicious and unforgettable food. Most is farm to table and they also make sure anyone who has special dietary requests are also accounted for. If you enjoy wine or other special drinks, they know areas that have incredible wineries. The days are planned out so that you get plenty of running/hiking, food and time to also explore the areas that you stay in. On each of my trips, I have made lifelong friends! This is the best part of each of my trips! Rogue Expeditions has the ability to bring people from all over the world together to do what we love while creating friends and memories that will last a lifetime! This is why I will continue to do more Rogue Expedition trips they offer. I give them my highest recommendation! Looking forward to my next adventure with them and hope to see you on it with me….

I had a great time. It was amazing running in such a unique, beautiful and hallowed environment. It was also an epic experience seeing all of the native animals both in the sanctuaries and in their more natural habitat. The guides were awesome and more than accommodating to all of our needs. Pros: George and Edward brought a wealth of knowledge and experience and shared freely with us throughout the trip. Kara and Ciaran were great leads and tour guides and I appreciate their participation and leadership. It was amazing running in such beautiful areas, and it presented a challenge like no other. Getting to see so many exotic and beautiful creatures was an unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed the interaction with the staff in each place we stayed. They treated us like royalty and patronized every request that they could. The food was top notch, for the most part, and you kept it coming! Moses (safari guide) is a true Lion Whisperer... or Lion King, if you will! I still can't believe how he was able to get us right on top of a male lion and 2 lionesses right after a kill, it seemed. He also got us very exclusive access to a group of Cheetahs and was able to find every last Rhino in the sanctuary. Our hotel accommodations were very unique and beautiful, with great scenery and superior service. Potential improvements: In addition to everything that was included, it would have been good to get some more specific cultural experiences/exposure. Ie: we had live music where the local entertainers played primarily American songs. I would have prefered something more representative of Kenyan culture. Similarly, as great as the food was, I would have liked an opportunity to have more native cuisine at times. I also expected to have a bit more interaction with local culture in our "free time". I enjoyed walking the mall in Nairobi before dinner, but that was about the only opportunity we had to be out and about in normal society. I had a false expectation that we would have some exposure to Maasai people while in the Mara, and that wasn't really the case. A trip to a museum would have been nice. Nit picking... we could have used an extra guide a couple of times on our runs, or just been instructed to stay together. It got a bit chilly at night and none of our accommodations had heating. I really appreciated the heated sheets in the Mara tents! :-) Observation, not complaint: I really struggled more than expected with a lot of the climbing/hiking especially at elevation. I was looking forward to more moderate/flat running. I'm admittedly a spoiled road runner, not a trail guy. :-) Thanks so much! What an experience. I convinced my friend Eric to come along and he is still thanking me!

I recently returned from my 4th Rogue Expeditions trip, Run Kenya, and no surprise, it did not disappoint! I appreciated our expert guides who did their job perfectly but also were so good at making everyone feel welcome and included in each activity. The locations we ran (with and without wild animals nearby!) were beautiful and I enjoyed experiencing local culture as children made their way to school and athletes trained at elevation on red dirt roads. We even witnessed some corn harvesting on our way to a picturesque waterfall. These adventures were all a wonderful lead-up to our safari which was most likely for me, a once in a lifetime experience. Our safari guides did such a great job of locating the animals and allowing us to sit and safely watch them. The wild animals were so beautiful to see in their natural habitat. We had such a fun, easygoing group of people. Thank you, Rogue Expeditions, for all your planning and organization. Run Kenya was truly an eye-opening adventure!

I booked this trip to celebrate a milestone birthday and explore my grandfather's homeland, and it did not disappoint. Even when a medical issue derailed my first day, the team quickly mobilized (shoutout to my favorite drivers Damo, Anze, and Tone!) to get me to a doctor in Ljubljana so I could hit the trails the next day. I was impressed by the scenery, the routes, the trail support (missing those salty sticks), the food and wine, and most of all, the people. I made lifelong friends and love how inclusive and positive the group was, with multiple route options and people sticking together, so we (I) didn't get lost. This was my first Rogue trip and won't be the last.

What an amazing trip - cannot recommend Rogue Adventures enough. Everything was excellent - the trails, the accommodation, the food and the activities. Mostly, the people! Alain and Spela were fun, supportive and full of energy. I had the most fantastic week and cannot wait for the next Rogue Trip!

I highly recommended the Dolomites adventure. This trip combined challenging and spectacular runs, cultural experiences and incredible local food. Our guides and drivers, Alain, Spela, Ciaran, Damo, and Nica were fantastic and created a warm and friendly atmosphere. All runner levels were seamlessly accommodated.
