I recently completed Rogue Expeditions' Balkans running tour, and it was an incredible experience. The scenery was absolutely epic, the food was abundant and delicious, and every aspect of the trip was exceptionally well organized with clear communication throughout. A special shout-out to Kara, who is one of the kindest, most positive, and enthusiastic people I know. Her passion for what she does shines through in everything. The local guides—Djordje, Tone, and Borut—were equally fantastic: knowledgeable, accommodating, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great experience. The running itself was very challenging (I hiked more than I ran!), but every climb was rewarded with breathtaking views that made the effort completely worth it. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure that combines stunning scenery, amazing food, great people, and a real physical challenge, I highly recommend the Balkans trip.

The scenery was gorgeous, the Irish people were charming, and the trip overall was wonderful. I appreciate the care and organization with which Rogue and the 4 guides organized our trip, took care of us all, and led our runs in a seamless way (especially how I was looked after and pointed in the safer directions with the recent injury I was dealing with). I'll be back!

The trip of a lifetime (that we immediately wondered how we could do again)! The best people (guides and fellow travellers), the best routes, the best food, etc etc. There were times I was challenged, so many times I said I was going to shorten a route (and Michelle laughed bc I found a friend to run with and didn’t end up shortening the route), so it was perfect in every way! I’m a middling runner (20-25 miles a week, 9-10min miles) and I was able to do everything - so if you’re nervous (I was!) don’t hesitate. The cultural experiences, seeing the landscape of the north west of Ireland, the history that Michelle and Geo shared, the phenomenal food - worth it! Also Alain and Heini were incredible guides, their energy and vibes made the trip so fun! They helped us get through technical spots and also kept us positive as we enjoyed “soft” days on the trails. Already saving for the next trip! Thank you so much for the best week ever <3

I am not a trail runner, but Alain, Heini, Geo, and Michelle could not have been more welcoming and accomodating. This was my first time on a Rogue trip, or any organized trip for that matter, and I have very high expectations moving forward. The runs were truly breathtaking and challenging in the best possible way. I always felt comfortable with the pace options and the terrain, even as a new trail runner. I had no idea what to expect from Northwest Ireland but I was truly stunned by the beauty, the weather, and the people. And the other runners? I mean, I cried when I had to leave, if that tells you anything. The people on these trips are from all walks of life, all ages and running abilities. But what brings us together is a shared sense of adventure and wonder. Everyone was very "go with the flow" (which you have to be with Irish weather), and could not have been kinder. I loved learning about their lives and have no doubt I will get to see these people again in my life, whether on a Rogue trip or somewhere else. Finally, the guides! Wow! The real deal and extremely kind and funny. Having Geo and Michelle as our local guides to tell us everything about where we were, while Heini and Alain kept us moving and grooving on the routes, I felts so supported and secure from the moment I arrived.

Amazing experience in all aspects. The logistics were perfect, the guides engaging and very experienced. It accommodated my slower pace and my wife’s non running alternatives. The group was supportive and we all “clicked.” Frankly, it was hard to leave when the tour completed.

I highly recommended the Dolomites adventure. This trip combined challenging and spectacular runs, cultural experiences and incredible local food. Our guides and drivers, Alain, Spela, Ciaran, Damo, and Nica were fantastic and created a warm and friendly atmosphere. All runner levels were seamlessly accommodated.
