Note: Please do not book flights until you've received confirmation from us that we've hit the minimum group size. Once you have booked your flight, please <a target="_blank" href="https://www.roguexpeditions.com/flights">submit your flight details here.</a> For this trip you will need to arrive in Puerto Natales no later than 2pm on Sunday, November 1, 2026 and depart anytime on Sunday, November 8, 2026.  We will be there to meet you at the airport, and we will take you back there at the end of the trip.  Please note that if you are looking at flights well in advance, options to PN may be limited; more flights will be scheduled later in the year. Regardless, the best way to find good flight options is to book two separate itineraries: * Book your international flight to/from Santiago (SCL) * Book a separate roundtrip from Santiago (SCL) to Puerto Natales (PNT) via LATAM or SKY airlines We suggest giving yourself a minimum of 4 hours between your arrival in Santiago and your flight to Puerto Natales (you will have immigration, customs, luggage and then separate check-in for the domestic leg). FLIGHTS

READ THIS: <a target="_blank" href="https://www.roguexpeditions.com/blog/packing-light">Packing (light) tips for your next adventure</a>  GENERAL THINGS TO CONSIDER *The climate in Patagonia is unpredictable. You can experience rain, wind, heat, cold &amp; sun all in the matter of an hour. Being prepared with the right clothing will make your trip memorable for all the right reasons.*This is an active trip with lots of time in rural areas and national parks. However, a set of nice-ish non-running clothes would be good for some dinners.*Otherwise, think lightweight, quick-drying, interchangeable items/colors, and layers.*Any type of luggage is fine, but backpacks or duffel bag with backpack straps tend to be the most durable, easy to move around with and can hold a lot. Don’t bring expensive luggage – it’ll likely be caught in the rain, set on dusty ground, etc.*Have some sort of ‘day bag,’ whether it’s a small backpack, messenger bag, etc. It should be big enough to carry money, a camera, a water bottle, and a jacket – something you can keep with you in the vehicle.*You don’t need a different running outfit for every day. You can easily re-wear a few items throughout the trip as you won’t sweat much, and a rinse-out in the shower keeps things clean enough – hang it outside your window for a quick dry! Don’t expect laundry opportunities during our time in Patagonia. CLOTHES*2-3 pairs running shorts + 1-2 pairs tights/capris*2-3 short sleeve running shirts/tank tops + jog bras and 2-3 long sleeve running shirt*3-4 non running shirts/tops*1-2 pairs pants (lightweight travel-type are a worthy, fast-drying investment!)*1 lightweight jacket / pullover*1 rain jacket (ensure that it’s waterproof, not just water resistant)* 1 pair rain pants suggested for the glacier trek*1 warm down or fleece jacket*Underwear*1 set of sleepwear ACCESSORIES + SHOES*1 pair trail running shoes + 1 pair flip flops + (optional - 1 pair non-running shoes)*6-7 pairs socks*Running hat + warm hat*Gloves*Sunglasses*Day bag*Towels are provided by the hotels but you may want a small pack towel for sweat/rain/etc.  The refugios in the national park are remote and some are only accessible by boat and any inclement weather disrupts fresh towels...best to have a pack towel as backup!*Hydration Pack – This is a requirement, and must have space to stash your rain jacket, snacks, and a minimum of 1L of water*Day pack -There is one day with a point to point hike finishing at our accommodation; there is no vehicle access. You’ll need to carry water, lunch, rain gear, a change of clothes to sleep in, warm jacket, toothbrush/toothpaste, flip flops, etc (the refugio provides bedding, towels and soap).  I just use my carry-on day pack for this portion of the trip. There are many great pack options, though the best is the one that fits you well. If you don’t own one, take the time to go to an actual retail store and try some on.*Reusable water bottle for general water intake. Please avoid buying/disposing of plastic water bottles; the tap water is just fine! Food: Meat and potatoes! There are not a lot of crops that grow well in Patagonia, so you’ll find that the locally sourced dishes focus on lamb, fish and potatoes. That said, Chile as a whole grows a wide variety of crops and the growth of tourism means that much of it makes its way south these days. You'll enjoy a wide variety of very nice meals, and those who don't eat meat will be well-taken care of. Chileans eat dinner very late - sometimes as late as midnight - though we’ll have our evening meals around 7:30 or 8pm most nights.
 
Drinks: Chile is known for its wine, and you’ll be offered many a pisco sour cocktail. Coffee is hit or miss in the Patagonia region; it’s quite good at upmarket hotels, but often of the instant variety elsewhere. Most locals stick to drinking mate. Tap water is perfectly safe to drink.
 
Weather: Patagonia is known for unpredictable weather, and it’s not uncommon to experience all four seasons in a single day. February and March are late summer/early autumn, and you’ll generally find pleasant daytime temps between 50-70 F / 10-20 C and chilly nights around 40-45F / 5-7C. Although the worst of the wind is usually tapering off by this time of year, you’re still guaranteed to experience those famous gusts - which sometimes hit more than 100mph / 160kph! Rain is always a possibility, as is warm sunshine. Follow our packing list and bring an adaptable attitude and you’ll have a great time!
 
Connectivity: Patagonia is waaaaaay down there, and for as popular a destination as it has become it is still in the middle of massive wilderness. You can expect good wifi nights 1, 2 &amp; 7, but otherwise don’t expect much. There is no cell signal in Torres del Paine. You will be able to get online a few times, but don’t make promises to anyone about exactly when - it’s not reliable enough. We find that after about 24 hours of being cut off people tend to settle right in and actually enjoy it!
 
The National Park: There are certain trails within the national park where running is discouraged, mostly due to the popularity of those trails. This really only affects us on the way to Glacier Grey, on which day we ask you to please hike rather than run. It’s a technical trail with jaw-dropping views that is much better suited for a hiking pace!
 
Fun Facts: Geographically speaking, the country of Chile is long and skinny, measuring over 2600 miles in length with an average width of just 110 miles. It’s bordered by the Pacific ocean on one side and the Andes – the longest mountain range in the world - on the other.
 
Patagonia refers to a region at the bottom tip of South America that spans two countries – Chile and Argentina – and a loosely defined land area of around 400,000 sq. miles. It is also one of the most sparsely populated places in the world, with just 2-3 people per sq. mile.
 
The name Patagonia comes from the word patagon, which Magellan used to describe the natives – the Tehuelche. He described these tall people as giants and “Patagonia” came to reference “Land of the Big Feet.”
 
50% of Chilean Patagonia is protected wilderness.
 
Wildlife that you’re likely to encounter throughout the week include guanaco (wild llamas), condors, flamingo, foxes, whales, sea lions, seals albatross and penguins. There are also pumas, but sightings are incredibly rare. Domesticated animals include horses and LOTS of sheep.
 
The largest dinosaur fossil ever discovered was recently found in Patagonia. The Patagotitan mayorum is estimated to have measured about 120 ft. long and weighed 69 tons.

PATAGONIA: THE BASICS

Most everything is already paid for, so you shouldn’t need much in the way of cash. There are unreliable ATMs at the airport, and reliable ones in town.  If you have time in Santiago you can just take care of getting cash there - that's what we recommend. Things you will need to allot for: 

&gt; Alcohol and other drinks/snacks that you might find along the way. There are bars everywhere that we stay, and prices are pretty similar to what you’d pay in the US. Most places technically take credit card, but safer to have cash on hand in case of bad connections.
 
&gt; Tips. There are no strict tipping customs, but if you are happy with your experience and would like contribute a gratuity then it is certainly appreciated! Any tips will be split equally amongst the team.

MONEY - HOW MUCH WILL YOU NEED?

If you have the time, we encourage you to come early or stay late.   We don't offer an early arrival package for this trip but are happy to answer any questions you have about travel in Patagonia. Flying early into Punta Arenas would allow the chance to take a whale-watching excursion or visit a penguin colony; comfortable, inexpensive buses run daily between Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales, where our trip begins and finishes. If you are interested in staying later and hiking with a guide to the iconic Base Towers in Torres del Paine National Park, we are more than happy to connect you with a local operator who can arrange that for you.

EXTRAS

I had such a great time on this trip. The elevation gains were challenging but that made it all the more rewarding. And the views were magnificent! Borut, Tone, Alain, and Petra were wonderful. Such an awesome crew. Rogue definitely knows how to play this game. I’ve been on multiple trips with them since 2022, already signed up for a 2026 trip and planning for 2027. 

Run The Dolomites: August 31-September 6, 2025

My trip to the Dolomites was amazing!  The trails and landscape were breathtaking, the meals for delicious, and the guides were so welcoming and accommodating!  I can't wait to book my next trip!

We had an incredible experience with Rogue Expeditions on our self-guided tour of the Dolomites. From start to finish, the planning was thoughtful and seamless. The team worked closely with us to create an itinerary that perfectly matched the mileage and level of difficulty we were looking for, and every route they suggested was stunning.

The boutique accommodations and local restaurants they booked gave us the feeling of being truly off the beaten path, while still being completely comfortable and cared for. The support during the trip was outstanding and made the trip feel both adventurous and stress-free.

Self-Guided Dolomites

Rogue Expeditions continues to be the absolute  best travel decision my wife and I make. The locations and food are exquisite, and the guides are the most wonderful folks you could ever ask for. The hardest part is trying to figure out which Rogue trip is next!

We had an amazing self guided trip as a group of 6 to the Dolomites. While we were self guided (on trail on our own), our driver Damo was not only driver, but concierge checking into hotels, tour guide, route and weather researcher, and all around amazing human. This gave us the freedom to truly just relax and enjoy the trip and not have to worry about any logistics at all! We worked with Michael beforehand to extend some of the routes to allow for more time on the trails. The trip was everything we wanted- amazing runs in the mountains, delicious food, and experiencing it all with friends. Can't recommend enough and I'm already adding more trips to my wishlist!

The people you meet on these adventures become lifelong friends! Come solo, leave with travel buddies for life. 

Exceeded sky high expecations. Myself and five friends went on the Rogue Expeditions running trip to Slovenia and couldn't have imagined a better experience. Running through the mountains in a foriegn country is always going to be a bit unnerving, but the entire thing was care free. The biggest reasons were:
- Pre-trip material and information on the route. 
- Private Driver - Our driver, Tone, made the trip truly memorable. He made the pick-up from the airport easy, provided insightful information about the area, recommended the best food and was incredibly helpful in modifying the trip if need be. 
- Everything was flawless. All the booking, trails and details were spot on. 

Of course, the main reason the trip was awesome was how beautiful the area was. My favorite was the Soca River Valley with it's crystal clear water! Can't wait to go on another trip with Rogue. 

Self-Guided Slovenia-Croatia - August 17-22, 2025

Es difícil tratar de agradecer y describir esta increíble experiencia de vida, que significo participar de esta expedición en Islandia, en unas cortas líneas.

Quiero agradecer y felicitarlos por la organización de todas y cada una de las actividades que desarrollamos durante este tiempo, todo organizado, los hoteles, la comida, las actividades que complementaban la experiencia, fueron planeadas y ejecutadas perfectamente. Ahora, nada de esto hubiera sido posible sin el grandioso equipo que acompañó esta experiencia. Con el riesgo a quedarme corto en palabras, MUCHAS GRACIAS Kara, Thora, ‘El mejor conductor de Islandia’ y Heini, los felicito por su profesionalismo, actitud positiva del 1000% y esa energía inagotable que hicieron UNICA esta experiencia.

Así mismo, me siento afortunado de haber podido compartir con este grupo de amantes de la naturaleza y el running, hicieron de mi primera experiencia en Trail algo que jamás olvidaré. Solo buenas vibras en este grupo y que grandes corredores.

Run Iceland: July 31 - August 7, 2025

We had a wonderful time with Rouge Expeditions. From the moment of our arrival, the guides ensured we felt welcome and at home. Even prior to the trip, they were so helpful at getting our questions answered and helping us choose a trip that was right for us. We met amazing people on the trip, built friendships, learned a ton, and explored places we never would have went to without Rogue Expeditions. Plus, we had a lot of fun! While the schedule was packed, everything was worthwhile and there were essentially no issues with the trip the logistics. The one issue that arose due to weather was resolved super quickly -- it was evident the team has great contingency planning. Overall, the planning was very thoughtful, allowing us time to stop by grocery stores for snacks, meander in local shops, and take our time on the trails -- that being said, we were able to see a lot of popular destinations on our trip as well. Last, but not least, the runs we did were amazing -- the right mix of challenge and beautiful landscape that had us fall in love with Iceland.  

I had an incredible experience in Iceland. The guides were knowledgeable and encouraging and easily pivoted when an activity had to be cancelled due to weather. We got to see amazing places that most tourists don't get to see and the trails were challenging but manageable. Highly recommend. 

Great trip! Guides were outstanding! Everything was extremely well organized and the food was delicious. Runs were a good mix of distance and terrain with something for everyone. I will definitely be looking into future trips with Rogue.

Run Canada - July 17-24, 2025

Iceland has been a bucket list dream of mine. Rogue Expeditions not only met, but exceeded any expectations I had. Our guides, Kara and Thora are professional, entertaining and made this trip for me. The runs were scenic and awe inspiring.  Rogue Expeditions has the recipe down pat for the perfect running adventure trip. 

Awesome trip all around!  Exceeded expecations!

Very well run (pun intended).  Logistics, food, planning, mapping etc all went super smoothly.  Guides did a great job of enabling all runners to go at their own pace (mapping app and additional trail markers used by guides very helpful to all).  

The runs were beautiful, the hotels/inns were great, the food was delicious.  The float plane ride was awesome!

All the guides had a plethora of information, communicated well, and truly made sure everything ran smoothly (plus they were awesome people).

Highly recommend!



This trip was incredible! From the people, to the places, to the food. The Rogue team did an amazing job getting us ready each day for the trip and creating a team atmosphere between the other attendees. They knew all the best places to go and even recommended some great places after the trip. Cannot recommend this enough!

Run The Dolomites: July 21-27, 2025

Run Canada is special because it is located in a remote area of western Canada, a place where even many Canadians haven't heard of.  Rogue Expeditions takes care of all of the logistics to get you to this exceptional place in the lesser visited Coastal Mountains of Canada.  It goes without saying that all of the runs were gorgeous with long-range views, but even the non-running time was also filled with other adventures, such as a rafting trip down a glacial fed river, a float plane that took us to our very own remote campsite, a flightseeing tour over the Monarch Icefields (which were filled with breathtaking turquoise mineral lakes and glaciers that went on for miles), hikes to waterfalls and canoeing on a mirror calm lake.  We never went hungry and the food was delicious.  Above all, our guides Kara and Kiana, truly made the trip extra special.  They really took the time to bond with each participant, get to know each participant individually and accommodate any special needs the participants may have had.    
I am typically accustomed to planning all of my own adventures/trips on my own but there is no way I would have been able to put together a trip with so many logistical details like the Rogue Run Canada trip.  I have nothing but fond memories of Run Canada 2025 and I highly recommend joining them on one of their tours. 

Short trip maximum fun , everyone was laughing together from the meet point ,  runs were superb, food and hotels amazing , even the time travelling between locations was a blast ,

Run With Flora: Running Retreat in Alpe-Adria

Highly recommend, just do it! Absolutely amazing experience I'll never forget. We were well looked after by Michael, Tone and Alain every step of the way! Runs were amazing with regular stops for food and drinks should you need them. Everyone on the trip was lovely and friendly. Food and wine was next level, accommodation great. Flora our host was also such an amazing person with such passion for running! Thank you all! 

What an incredible trip! My fourth Rogue Expedition and this one did not disappoint. Ireland is amazing and the Hidden Northwest had so many great runs, amazing lodging, great food and three of the best guides. Everyone was fully engaged, friendly and outgoing. I hope to do the other Ireland itinerary along with many more Rogue Expedition trips. I highly recommend.

Run Ireland: The Hidden Northwest - June 30-July 7, 2025

The Balkans were beautiful and I definitely would recommend this trip. All the guides and support staff were top notch. The meals and accommodations were great too. I will say, compared to other Rogue trips that I’ve done, this one involved more hiking than running. This wasn’t a bad thing but just be aware if you sign up for this trip.

Run The Balkans: Albania & Montenegro - June 13-20, 2025

This trip far exceeded my expectations.  From the choice of hotels, to the choice of running trails, to the choice of restaurants, I was more than happy and satisfied.  The guides also exceeded my expectations from their local knowledge, their professionalism, level of organization and attention to detail were top notch.  They have earned a repeat customer for sure.  The best way to see and truly understand a country is on foot, interacting with local residents. I left feeling that I had  seen and truly understood Ireland in a way that was physically very challenging and intellectually stimulating.

It was amazing to see a part of Europe that I did not know existed. High mountains, trees and meadows, large and beautiful lakes.   And to get to know the culture too and the local cuisine.

What truly set this trip apart, though, was the attention to detail and heart behind everything Rogue does. Our guides were passionate, endlessly knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around. They made sure we were not only safe and well taken care of, but also fully immersed in the culture and spirit of the region. The local meals, spontaneous roadside coffee/tea stops, and personal stories shared along the way made the trip feel like an adventure with close friends.

If you're looking for an experience that pushes you physically, fills your heart, and deepens your appreciation for a beautiful, often overlooked part of the world – this trip is it. Run The Balkans: Albania & Montenegro - June 23-30, 2025

Run the Balkans was a once in a lifetime trip to some of the most beautiful mountain regions I’ve ever seen. The guides were fantastic as usual and provided much appreciated support during some very challenging climbing days. I hesitate to give a full 5 stars because some of the accommodations were not as expected for a RE experience and it was for the most part more of a hiking trip than a running trip.

If you are looking for legit trail running, I fully recommend the Oregon tour with Rogue. There were lots of single track trails and great views. There was plenty of food, the extra activities were great and there was down time/time for recovery as well. Loved the accommodations and the people who ran them too!

Unforgettable Trail Running Retreat with Roge Expeditions!

I highly recommend this experience! I joined a recent Rogue Expeditions trail running retreat in Oregon, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The trails were stunning—from sunny high-desert trails to shady forest singletrack to wide-open alpine views, every run felt like a highlight reel. The terrain was diverse and thoughtfully chosen, striking the perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment.

Kiana is a phenomenal guide: knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely fun to be around. She knows these trails inside and out, making everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their pace or experience level. The trip was also incredibly well-coordinated—from logistics to meals to daily briefings, everything ran smoothly, thanks to the clear professionalism of the Rogue team, including our intrepid driver, Daniel, and Michael, Rogue's owner, who brings both heart and expertise to every detail.

And let’s not forget the group—an awesome mix of runners from different backgrounds who made the whole adventure even more memorable. It felt like a perfect mix of running, relaxation, and connection.

It's actually impossible to write a review that captures the magic of a Rogue trip. 

The Balkans was my fourth trip with Rogue, and it was the special combination of hidden routes, local experiences, and a team that immediately feels like family.

The running itself can only be described as magical. The variety in the landscape, technicality, climbing, and experience varied each day. From bogs, to mountain hiking, to scrambling - all with running somewhere in between. And the vistas. The views. I'm pretty sure I said WOW 1000x, just about every time I'd look up to see where we were. 

Outside of the runs, the local activities gave us a favor of local culture like tasting local wine and rakija, sweet treats, and of course - the food. All of the food.  

These are all things you can't see, can't experience, and wouldn't dare to explore if they weren't carefully organized, nurtured, and curated by the Rogue team. Huge shoutout to Kara and the drivers for being our local guides, but also our friends and storytellers around the campfire. 

It's the people that make it special, and the history Rogue has with the people and places we visit. Like, where else would you get a warning about an Albanian fox stealing your shoes if you leave them out at night? Nowhere. That's the magic of Rogue.

This trip was magic. The mountains were stunning, the wildflowers were in full bloom, and the food was fantastic (even as a vegan). The running guides (Kara and Dorde) were top tier, and the drivers (Tone and Dami) were so informed on the local history and cultures of the region that it really added a lot to the trip. I loved it and I recommend it to anyone with a good level of fitness and trail experience. 

I have just returned from my first Rogue trip to Ireland, and I have been singing its praises to anyone who will listen since my plane landed back home. I didn't know exactly what to expect, being my first time trying any sort of trip like this, but it far exceeded anything I could have imagined. The routes were all stunning and the perfect level of challenging, and all details of the trip were taken care of from pick-up to drop-off.  Our wonderful guides Alain, Ciaran, and Michelle were all so fun and kind- the week was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation (and endless fields of sheep). The only negative is that I'm going to find it hard to pick which Rogue trip to do next! 

From the moment we arrived everything was smooth and organized. It was a well planned trip down to the littlest detail. Kiana, Michael and Daniel took the time to get to know each of us and our group became cohesive although we were all in different phases of life. The way the week was organized every person could personalize each run to get what they wanted from it. Each run was beautiful and an adventure! There were other activities scheduled daily as well. 

It was my first trip traveling in a group setting without knowing anyone and I definitely plan on going on another Rogue trip next Summer.  Thanks Kiana, Michael and Daniel for such an amazing week.😎💪🏃‍♀️❤️

Run Oregon was simply amazing! Incredibly beautiful trails, awesome delicious meals (even for a vegan!), super knowledgeable and talented guides, comfortable and relaxing lodging. Great to meet and hang with such a diverse group of people - all in love with trail running. Fabulous time and would love to do it again!

Outstanding Experience – Exceptionally Coordinated and Unforgettable Adventure!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Rogue Expeditions. From start to finish, the trip was flawlessly organized. Every detail was thoughtfully planned from the daily schedules and transportation to trail support and logistics. The entire week ran so smoothly that I was able to fully relax and enjoy the adventure without a single worry.

The trails were stunning, offering a perfect mix of challenge, scenery, and variety. Each run felt like a new discovery.

The accommodations were fabulous, and every place we stayed felt welcoming and completely in tune with the spirit of the trip.

Rogue Expeditions truly delivers on their promise of meaningful, active travel. I left feeling inspired, refreshed, and incredibly grateful. I wouldn’t hesitate to travel with them again. In fact, I’m already signed up for Patagonia in 2026!

Kiana (“Lil Rattler”), Michael (“Boss Dad”), and Mat (“Trash Panda”) were the rare guides who act more like friends than tour guides. Kiana hand-picked and pre-ran multiple, glorious trails that were the highlight of the trip. Mat’s camera was basically a fourth guide, every switchback and summit he was there to capture the moment. Michael kept the whole operation on track, driving all 9 of us in our school bus-esque van for multiple hours on winding, blue highways to get us to gorgeous, remote places way off the beaten track. If bonding with a group of running enthusiasts, immersing into beauty in multiple places throughout Oregon, and full days spent adventuring is your thing, I definitely recommend!!

Best vacation & support for trail runners,  of any age or level! I’m a more senior, average runner (over 50) and the guides were so supportive and encouraging! I was not the only “senior runner.” I was worried about getting in over my head, but so relieved to find out I could shorten any of the distances, WALK if I needed, and I even skipped a day to rest and just drink coffee and read while the others went on the scheduled run. I highly recommend Rouge Expeditions for all who enjoy the trails, no matter what your age or running level. I definitely will be booking another one in the future!

I'm so glad that I booked this trip!  Everything about the trip helped reignite my joy and hope around running.  The people, the views, and the space to just take it all in.   The trip was so seamlessly organized it appeared effortless.  The guides (and owner Michael) are so kind and welcoming.  The ways that varying distances were provided and presented, navigation on the trails, the meals and rhythm of the days... everything was just right.  The week overflowed with fun.    

This was such an amazing experience! Although the climbs are no joke(!), you are rewarded with some of the most beautiful views mountain views you will ever experience. And don't ever get me started on the food - so good! Guaranteed you will go sleep stuffed. Massive shout out to Kara and the team who made sure everything ran 🏃‍♂️ smoothly, and it was so interesting getting to know the other runners in the group. If you are looking for an experience that will challenge you and simultaneously expand your horizons, I can't think of a better trip.

When I signed up for the Balkans Adventure with Rogue, I was going on a recommendation from a friend of a friend!  I had no idea how wildly successful and deeply fulfilling the journey would be.  With our amazing guide Kara leading the way, and the incredible local guides she brought in, I found myself living out a dream I didn't even know I had.

From the endless platters of delicious Balkan cuisine to the soothing mountain tea, every day was a new sensory delight.  And sharing it all with like-minded runners?  Absolutely mind-blowing.  It wasn't just a trip, it was an experience that pulled me out of my comfort zone and into something unforgettable!

My first Rogue Expeditions trip exceeded all expectations! And what stood out the most was the incredible team of four that made the trip so special. Incredible job hiring the right people. 

Alain, Spela, Anze, and Nika were of course incredible guides and drivers, but more importantly, they were incredible human beings. Alain, my goodness, he provides answers to questions before they have been asked, he adjusts the music volume intuitively according to the moment, he subtly collects information, about each guest and uses it to tailor the experience and conversations to suit, he has energy for DAYS, he makes everyone feel comfortable, included, informed and successful. Watching Alain interact with the hosts at each stop was heartwarming, as it showcased his genuine connection-oriented nature, greeting each like a dear friend. I feel so incredibly lucky to have had Alain as our lead guide. 

And sweet Spela, her soft and nurturing nature also offered immense experience, stories, and comfort/confidence. It felt like Spela always had our backs, and if we were worried or in need, she was a gentle presence offering us just what we needed. And as the familiarity amongst our group grew, we got to see her humor and her joy. 

Anze, what a guy! So young and already so confident, steady, enjoyable to be around and perfect for the role of driver. And last but not least, Nika. I mean, NIKA! I basically tried everything in my power to recruit her and have her move to my town and work for me. She is a powerhouse of skill, talent, and fun, not to mention the huge bonus of having a PT as part of the trip (she tended to a rolled-ankle, sore feet, calves needing taping, etc). Each of the four are individually so fantastic but their dynamic as the foursome was just electric! So so so good. 

This is so much more than a running trip! The entire operation is flawless. We were so well taken care of, both individually and as a collective group. As a solo traveller, who was VERY nervous to take this trip alone, Alain (and the full team) made me feel safe both on and off the trails. Options were always given to ensure everyone was comfortable and Alain's confidence made my own self confidence increase. For Alpe Adria specifically, the food is spectacular and constant! As a devoted "foodie", this trip gave me some of the best culinary experiences of my life. 

I am so grateful for Rogue Expeditions, and for Alain, Spela, Anza, and Nika. I cannot wait to do another RE trip in the future and you can bet that my trip inquiry will come with a request for some or all of this crew specifically!

I highly recommend Rogue Expedition's Run Oregon Trip! It was very well organized and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience with fantastic guides (super knowledgeable, experienced, and welcoming/fun) and magical trails.

Wow. Where do I even begin? This trip with Rogue Expeditions far exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment we arrived until the bittersweet goodbye, every detail was perfectly planned, making the entire experience 100% stress-free. All I had to do was show up and run — and eat, and laugh, and soak in some of the most jaw-dropping scenery I’ve ever seen!

The runs were nothing short of epic — winding through alpine meadows, along the turquoise Soča River, across vineyard-covered hills, and up to panoramic mountain vistas. Each day brought a new adventure, and each trail felt like a postcard come to life. The diversity of terrain kept things exciting, and the option to adjust distances meant everyone could participate and enjoy at their own pace.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. I never knew post-run meals could feel like gourmet celebrations. From rustic farm-to-table feasts to multi-course wine-paired dinners in 700-year-old cellars, every meal was memorable — both in taste and in setting.

And the people — the best part. I made genuine, lifelong friends on this trip, all brought together by a shared love of running, exploring, and living fully.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible lead guide Alain, who brought energy, humor, and endless knowledge to every moment. Your passion and care set the tone for the entire experience. This is one of those trips where every heightened expectation you had is met, if not exceeded. From the moment we sent our first inquiry to the follow-up after our airport drop-off, this team went the extra mile to take care of the group in every possible way. It’s no small feat, taking a sport as strenuous as trail running, and turning it into a vacation that’s both mentally and physically rejuvenating (you go home sore, but in the best way). But this team did just that — not just relieving travelers of the burdens of research, logistics, and safety, but also ensuring that every day brought a new set of unforgettable experiences. We could rave about Slovenia and Croatia endlessly, but it goes without saying: for an organization to put such thought into the execution of a trip, there’s no doubt each location they pick boasts breathtaking sceneries and local experiences you wouldn’t have found on your own. We couldn’t recommend Rogue Expeditions and this trip more — and we’re already looking forward to our next time with the teams.

This trip was truly incredible. I highly recommend adding the Sahara extension—not only to experience the majestic mountains and stunning coastline of Morocco, but also the vast beauty of the desert. There's something deeply powerful about the way this journey blends culture and running. It’s more than a trip; it’s an experience that stays with you.

Run Morocco: Backroads of the Atlas - April 18-26, 2025

The trip was lovely. We ran on some great trails. I loved embracing the Patagonia weather, in which you encounter all the seasons in one day. Sometimes in one run!
The lamb roast and hike in the National Park with a stay at the Refugio were highlights for sure!


Run Patagonia - March 16-23, 2025

What an awesome trip to Patagonia! I had to cancel this trip a year ago and so glad I gave it another go. Our guides Alain and Felipe were the best: energetic, fun-loving, knowledgeable, great runners and super chill. The windy runs, the majestic views, wildlife and post-run pisco sours and other select beverages were a new adventure every day, while delicious local food and lodge staff kept us intrigued and very well fed by night. If the perfect weather wasn't ordered off a menu, our terrific group sure was. I loved the range of ages, countries and backgrounds. In my experience, it's the people you travel with who make the trip special. So happy to return home having made unforgettable memories and new friends. "En la Patagonia el que se apura pierde el tiempo." Shimmy, shimmy!

Absolutely incredible! Alain and Felipe were amazing - so much fun, extremely knowledgable and made every individual feel a part of the team. I have been on many, many organized trips throughout my lifetime and not only was this the best group I have ever had, it was the absolute best organization. Thank you so much for making my Patagonian experience so memorable.

I have been dreaming of Patagonia for years and a Rogue expedition was the perfect way to experience this magical destination. Alain and Felipe were fantastic guides who generously shared their knowledge and passion for Patagonia. The trails showcased the spectacular scenery and ecological variety and did so in a way that felt off the beaten path while still allowing for a couple days in the iconic Torres del Paine National Park. From condors and guanacos to fire-roasted lamb chased with carmenere and pisco sours, I felt immersed in the beauty and culture of Patagonia from day 1. Even better: I loved sharing the experience with new running friends. ¡Muchas gracias a Rogue!

Gorgeous Country. Fantastic Guides.  Amazing Tour Group.  The first thing a tour group member said to me when I introduced myself was "Welcome to your new obsession."  She knew what she was talking about.  Highly recommended.   

Run Morocco: Gorges & Sahara - February 20-March 1, 2025

I signed up for the Rogue Morocco trip a month out on a whim. I usually enjoy researching and mapping my travels out – but with a limited time window to fit in a trip – I decided to put my faith in one genuine call with Michael. I’m so glad I did.

Experiences don’t always live up to the brochure, but Run Morocco blew all expectations out of the water. Our guides Kara and Alain were professional from start to finish while providing a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere that extended across the entire group. Every step of the journey was so well put together; the only thing I had to do was show up and enjoy meeting and falling in love with an incredible group of once strangers I now call friends. Oh, and run – I did “have” to run a few once in a lifetime routes through unforgettable landscapes.

As for the meals, the culture, and most of all the Moroccan people - that’s something you have to experience for yourself to understand.
